A true hidden gem in the Kawartha Highlands is the small waterfall found up the winding creek at the north end of Bottle Lake. For those up for an adventure, traversing the narrow passages barely wide enough for a canoe or kayak with the encroaching Pickerel weed and clawing shrubs is not for the feint of heart but once it opens up to the pool below the waterfall you have earned a break to relax and take in the tranquility of the sights and sounds of the cascading water through the rocks.
